The Thai construction company Sahakol awards an order for Heavy duty rollers (HDC) for the expansion of waste handling line No. 2 of the Hongsa mine and thermal power plant complex (HPC).
This is the largest thermal power station in Laos, located in the province of Xayaboury near the border with Thailand.
The good results of Ulma Conveyor Components in previous projects in the region and the experience in similar waste handling facilities in Germany have made it possible to be awarded this important project. The delivery of the rollers will take place during 2023 and the start-up of the installation is scheduled for April 2024.
The rollers have been designed to withstand the important load conditions (18,000 Ton/hour), belt speeds (5.2 m/s) and the demanding environmental conditions of rain, heat, and humidity in the area.
At a time when investments are contained and the execution of projects is delayed in time, the competition, and the demands to obtain new contracts are extremely tough. For this reason, the award of this work represents a great challenge and an opportunity for Ulma Conveyor Components to consolidate its expansion and diversification plan both in the Engineering market in general and in this one in particular.
